Wow. What A Weekend

Well, the Ignite Weekend @ 2springs has come and gone...but Gods fingerprints are all over the hearts of His people and His church. We saw surrendrance, repentance, obedience, rededication, and salvation this weekend. Wow

I'm gonna use todays blog to brag on some people...

JESUS- once again, blew us away. The whole weekend was His. We talked about Him, prayed to Him, sang about Him, Preached about Him, fellowshipped in Him....well you get the idea....we made much of Him....and He "Showed up and showed out".

John & Ashley Welborn - Pastors, many of you read this blog so please hear the three words I wholeheartedly share with you...USE THESE GUYS! John passionately preached the Gospel and helped our church and Ashley led us to encounter God using her gifts for His Kingdom purposes.
I know that many churches...sadly I might add, are not using Evangelist for various reasons. I wont get into that to deeply here, but I will say...Double Springs is a stronger church today because of how God used His evangelist here. I mean that with every fiber within me. USE GOD HONORING EVANGELIST!

Paul Holcombe - Paul spoke to our students Saturday night with an incredible response. Competing with the thought that pizza was next, with a late night, and with distractions that come with Students...Paul brought the Word of God...and kids responded. Nuff said!

Slade Alday - Is the man. Battling the flu, Slade gutted it out (without Danielle, whom e affectionately gave the flu to) and led us in Worship Saturday evening. "Amazing Grace" gripped me like never before! I say often, and will continue to say...Slade Alday is the most gifted Worship leader I've ever known and I am blessed to call him a friend.

Eighth Day - was in concert with us Sunday evening. To be honest, I am careful about having groups in my church because I have been burned. There was no doubt that these guys are the real deal. They did exactly what we ask and did it well. They are ministry minded people, very professional in appearance and craft. Our people were raving about them and I look forward to having them back at 2springs!

2springs people & staff - You are the BEST! You guys worked so hard to make this weekend a success and I am honored to be your Pastor. I love you guys SO much, appreciate your passion for making Jesus famous, you incredibly generous spirit, and look forward to all God has for us. I really do believe 2springs is the greatest church in the world!

Cant wait for whats next.
